HELLO TIGER!

I know you’re supposed to write this part in the third person but it’s her day off so you’re stuck with me instead…

I was born and raised in the western district of Victoria and I’d say photography has led to all my best adventures - from the darkroom at my high school, to the pictures collection at the National Library of Australia and all the way right back here.

I bloody love taking pictures of people doing things. Weddings. Giving birth. Musicians. Getting older. Messing about with family. Messing about with animals. Making art. Making music. Fixing things.

One of my best memories is sitting with my nana going through her photo tin when I was a kid. It was full of pictures of people doing things. Some of the people I knew but many I didn’t. It was such an amazing way to learn about my nana and what was important to her. Why was this photo kept? Why were there 3 copies of that one? Who is this? Who is that? Why is this one out of focus? What’s the name of that dog? On and on.

So many of the photos were really beautiful. No one was posing in the way we do now they were just there being themselves.

I want to help build the photo tins of the future. If you like the sound of that shoot me a message and we can get this conversation started!

Kit x

WHY CHOOSE BIRD NOISES PHOTOGRAPHY?

Because you like my work!

That’s very important. The good news is I have other skills too… whether it is settling those ‘I hate being photographed’ nerves to suggesting what to wear for your family session or your professional headshots. I can also be a support for you during the planning phase of your big event if you want someone to chew over ideas with.
